Thriller drama Aankhen which released in 2002, was declared a ‘SuperHit’ and became the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. The film which starred an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen, will soon have a sequel which will be directed by Aneez Bazmee.

The Ready director has just finished with Welcome Back and has Boney Kapoor's No Entry Main Entry in the pipeline. "Aankhen 2 will roll in May and could start before the No Entry sequel because Salman bhai (Khan) doesn't have dates to spare. But No Entry Main Entry is a three-year old commitment and top priority. Whenever Salman has the time, I will be there, putting my friendship with him and Boney before any other commitment," assures Bazmee

Latest reports confirm that Aankhen 2 will begin from where the original ended. "Part two wil start from where Part one left off - Amitabh Bachchan getting released from jail and recruiting three new blind men, one of whom is John Abraham," reveals the filmmaker.

Big B will return as the baddie as "He's the soul of the film”. Interestingly, Anil Kapoor has also been roped in for a significant role.
