John Abraham to share screen space with Aishwarya Rai for the first time

Bollywood hunk John Abraham is all set to work with Sanjay Gupta in his forthcoming thriller Jazba. The actor will portray the role of gangster Abu Salem. Jazba will feature former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai as the leading lady and John is very excited to work with her.

A source close to the unit says, "John is very happy to work with Aishwarya. He loved the role and immediately said yes. John's role may not be very big in Jazba but it is a significant part of the story." Sanjay Gupta is planning to launch the film early next year. However, the rest of the cast is not finalised yet. Sanjay has delivered hits like Zinda, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala. Though, John has acted in all these three films but Aishwarya will be working with both, John and Sanjay for the first time.

Sriram Raghavan's Happy Birthday was supposed to feature Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and John Abraham. Talking about the film, John had said "I think Aishwarya and I will make a good couple. It's a great script, Sriram is a good director and I am extremely excited about it." However, the film never went on floors.Aishwarya announced about her film Jazba at the Cannes Film Festival which was held recently.
