Johnny Lever’s Comedy Film To Release On April Fools’ Day

Festival releases in Bollywood are definite hits and that is the reason why Salman Khan’s film releases on Eid, Shah Rukh Khan’s on Diwali and Aamir Khan’s on Christmas. The top-notch stars of the industry have already booked for the major festivals celebrated in the country. Bollywood is now eyeing to celebrate April Fools’ day with as much enthusiasm as other festivals and hence the makers of Johny Lever starrer upcoming comedy film has decided to release the flick on All Fools’day. Indeed, there couldn’t be a more apt date than April 1.

The film is titled Hotel Beautifool. Sameer Iqbal Patel is making debut in direction with the comedy film. Producer Mohammed Aslam Shaikh was quoted as saying, “It's like hand-in-glove situation to release it on the 1st of April and we are lucky to get a Friday on All Fools' Day”.

Besides Lever, the film stars Rajith Menon, Brijendra Kala, Imam Siddique, Rohit Khurana, Alisha Farrer, Shaanti, Sandip Gosh and Manoj Santoshi in prominent roles. The film is based on the Hindi play ‘Baat Baat mein Bigdey haalaat’, which is also written and directed by Sameer Iqbal Patel. As soon as Mohammed Aslam Shaikh expressed his willingness to co-produce, Sameer took no time to agree and turn his play into a feature film.
