Just One Baahubali Cannot Bring In The Audience: Irrfan Khan

Just One Baahubali Cannot Bring In The Audience: Irrfan Khan

Baahubali 2 is getting bigger in terms of its box-office collections with each passing day. The film has already crossed many records on its day one. However, actor Irrfan Khan feels just one Baahubali cannot bring in the audience and India’s cinema business needs to grow.

The tremendously talented actor last year said that if Indian cinema doesn't pull up its socks, then Hollywood cinema will swallow them. One year later when Baahubali 2 released, he was asked if Indian cinema is now heading in the right direction, he said, "Yeah for sure. Indian cinema, especially South is making this franchise. But we have seen much bigger franchises in Hollywood. It is praiseworthy that an Indian director is trying to make a product which is at par with Hollywood. It is a great beginning and a vision. But cinema will survive on personal and local stories. Where are those stories? Just one Baahubali cannot bring in the audience".

He further added that we need more films like Baahubalia and just one Baahubali can’t increase the audience. On the work front, the actor is gearing up for his upcoming flick Hindi Medium which is slated for a release on May 12. The film also stars Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal.
