Kamini Kaushal to be honoured with Kalpana Chawla Excellence Award

Kamini Kaushal, most noted for her roles in Neecha Nagar, Nadiya Ke Paar, Shabnam, Aarzoo and more, will be privileged with the Kalpana Chawla Excellence Award. The 86-year-old will receive the award from late astronaut Kalpana Chawla’s father B.L. Chawla on Wednesday.

A 10th annual homage function for Kalpana Chawla with be organised by PECOBA along with combined efforts of cultural society SAKHA. Kamini, alongside chess champion Tania Sachdev, educationist Minoti Bahri and Vidha Lal, a kathak dancer will also be awarded at the ceremony. Kamini began her career in 1946 with Neecha Nagar and contributed in numerous films. Her recent flick was Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express, in which she portrayed Rahul's grandmother.
