    The 63rd National Film Awards are just announced and have commemorated several industry personalities. Among the winners were Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan who have become well versed with these achievements. The ‘Fashion’ actress won Best Actress for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ which marks her third National Award. Kangana also won the Best Actress National Award for ‘Queen’ last year and Best Supporting Actress Award for ‘Fashion’, back in 2009.

    On the other hand, Big B has won a National Award for Best Actor for the fourth time after ‘Agneepath’, ‘Black’ and ‘Paa’, for his role in the film ‘Piku’. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ won for him, the Best Director award. The movie won Best Production Design, Best Cinematography and other honours as well. The Best Feature Film award was bagged by the mega blockbuster ‘Baahubali’. Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was named the Best Wholesome Family Entertainer as well as the movie with the Best Special Effects.

    The Special Jury Award was given to Kalki Koechlin for her film ‘Margarita, With A Straw’ and the Best Supporting Actress award was given to Tanvi Azmi for her performance in ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The male counterpart for the award was bagged by Samuthirakani for ‘Visaaranai’, which also won the Best Tamil Film award. The Best Hindi Film was given to ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’.

    The Best Screenplay and Dialogue award was shared by Juhi Chaturvedi for ‘Piku’ and Himanshu Sharma for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. Vishal Bhardwaj from the ‘Talvar’ team was awarded for Best Adapted Screenplay. The most film friendly state this time was Gujarat. These were a few of the winners of the National Awards which will be presented on May 3.
