With Best Actress title for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, Kangana Ranaut has won her third National Award. Yesterday, before accepting her award, the actress spoke with India Today and talked about working with the Khans of Bollywood. “In the beginning, I wanted a very easy and conventional route to follow where I can work with big heroes and be a big heroine”, the Queen actress shared.

“That happens in bollywood. If you work with a superstar, you become a superstar, even if you are a newcomer. That didn’t happen with me. It just didn’t. Now I get lot of offers to act with the Khans. I remember when I was struggling to get my father’s support to help me financially, he was clear it’s my way or highway. If you don’t want to go to school, I have no money for you. Now I am successful, I already have money and he is giving me money”, Kangana added.

She went on to say, “It’s the same thing with the Khans. When I wanted work, nobody was ready to work with me and now that i am my own hero on the sets, why should I work with other hero. Rangoon has three heroes, Saif, Kangana and Shahid”. The 29-year-old actress hopes to win a National Award for her role in Rangoon as well, which will be released on September 30.
