“I can’t hope to go beyond this script, this film could well be the climax in my acting career so I’m going to give it the time it deserves”, stated Kangana Ranaut in a recent TOI interview, mentioning about her upcoming film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’. Well, many thought that the Fashion actress is likely to quit acting and take up direction after this flick. However, that’s not the case. Let’s hear the meaning behind Kangana’s words from the horse's mouth.

“I said that (climax of my acting career) because you know there are some projects and films that fulfill something in you”, Kangana stated, adding, “Like, I remember when I was 15 and I didn’t know when I will achieve something in life and that feeling never came until I started work on Jhansi Ki Rani. It’s just like everything has started making sense”.

The 30-year-old actress added, “I feel my life has come a full circle and before this, no amount of failure or success could make me feel like an achiever. So now I think I shouldn’t waste much time going in a loop and that I move on to the next space which means that I will focus on my career as a filmmaker and if I act, I act in my own films”.

Kangana also feels that no one is taking her desire to direct films seriously. “You know this morning I was telling Krish (the director of Manikarnika) that you are the last director I am working with and he was like, ‘So that means you are doing your next 10 films with me?’ And I am like ‘No’ (laughs). So there are all kinds of jokes floating around and I really don’t think anyone is taking me seriously but I mean it”.

“After Manikarnika, I will be directing my film”, Kangana added, revealing that her first film as a director will be a comedy.
