Kapil Dev Biopic Starring Ranveer Singh Set To Release On This Day!

Actor Ranveer Singh is all set to be seen in the upcoming film 83 . It is based on Kapil Dev and India’s first World Cup win. Latest news reveals that the film is going to hit the theatre screens on  August 30, 2019. The film was supposed to be directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, however, later Kabir Khan took over.

Moreover, the reason of Chauhan, who also won a National Award for his movie Lahore walking out of this project is yet unknown. Further, a trade source has informed, “The makers have to still sort a few issues with the movie. Only once that is done will they be able to start the movie”.

The news of latest release date was confirmed by Ranveer Singh in an Instagram post. The actor posted a new picture of himself and the members of the 1983 World Cup-winning team and wrote, “Mark your calendar! '83 will be releasing on August 30th, 2019. '83 stars Ranveer Singh. Directed by Kabir Khan”. Further, the film has been bankrolled by Reliance for Phantom .
