Ever since the ratings of comedian Kapil Sharma’s show, The Kapil Sharma Show, began dipping post his fight with Sunil Grover, rumours of it going off air have been abuzz.

Latest reports further strengthen the gossip, but add that Kapil may get back with a revamped version of his show. A DNA report quoted a source as saying, “The current format has run its course. Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar’s departure and Bharti Singh and Chandan Prabhakar’s entry are not the issue. We’ve realised that the entire show needs a revamp.”

As per reports, the revamped version will keep the celebrity visitors out of focus.

Kapil, who is not keeping well even as he shuttles between shoots for the show and his upcoming movie Firangi, is likely to take a break from TV.

Meanwhile, Kapil’s former co-star Sumona Chakravarti recently said she was lucky she wasn’t present during the infamous fight between Kapil and Sunil. “I actually don’t know, because I wasn’t even there. I was lucky. Thank god, I wasn’t there. Obviously, when you work with a particular team for three-four years and some sort of disagreements happen, at the end of the day we are all adults and we take a decision whether to do or not to do whatever it is,” she said.

Comedian Krushna Abhishek, who has been Kapil’s professional rival for sometime now, said he would love to work with the TV star. Krushna told Hindustan Times, “Ek din jab main aur Kapil stage pe khade honge, to woh show duniya dekhne aayegi. (The day Kapil and I come together on the stage, the world will come to watch the show). There is no rivalry between us. I am a big fan of him, I have learnt a lot from him in our show Comedy Circus.”
