Most of us have a hobby which, at certain point of time, we want to pursue as a career. The same is the story with former communications and Information Technology minister Kapil Sibal. The politician, these days, is concentrating more on poetry than politics. After having written the song ‘Tu Jaldi Bata De’ in 2013 film Bandook, Sibal has now written a song for Jimmy Shergill and Suha Gezen starrer upcoming film Zainab. Not only that, he will also be crooning a song that he has written for ‘International Year of the Girl Child’, whose music will be given by internationally renowned sitarist Niladri Kumar.

Talking about the song he has written for Zainab, Sibal said, “I have sown the seeds, we are ready with the basic concept, along with initial composition, but it still has its journey to complete. I have published two books of English poems and in the last few years I was beginning to think that I should experiment with the mother tongue more and started writing in Hindi and Urdu. Music is a universal language and should help me connect with a larger audience”.

Sibal will be singing the song along with 12 girls in ‘International Year of the Girl Child’. “I will be singing this soulful song with the children at the concert. You will understand its true meaning when you hear it. Any kind of creativity is very satisfying. We are creative even in politics”, said the politician.
