Karan Johar follows Kajol on Instagram after saying ‘she would never return’ to his life

Seems like Karan Johar’s newborn twins are really proving to be bringers of peace in his life. The Bollywood director, who has been long at war with his old friend, actor Kajol, seems to finally be mending the differences and his babies are being really helpful.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Karan posted a picture of his kids, Roohi and Yash, with his mother Hiroo on Instagram. Several celebrities commented with kind words on the photos and even Kajol ‘liked’ the post. Seeing the positive first step in the direction of friendship, Karan then also followed her on the website.

Karan, who has directed Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and My Name Is Khan, had a fallout with Kajol when she sided with her actor husband Ajay Devgn in October. Ajay had accused Karan of bribing self-appointed film critic Kamaal R Khan to write negatively about his film, Shivaay. Karan’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was clashing with Ajay’s.

The director had previously spoken about his growing rift with the Devgns in his book An Unsuitable Boy, which was released in January.

Karan blamed Ajay for pushing the situation over the edge in an interview to Vir Sanghvi in February. “He called me and shouted at me and said some really nasty things because he heard at a party that I’d said some things about his wife. I just felt that heresay cannot be the reason for anyone to pick up the phone and say unsavoury things to anyone else. You have to give me the chance to defend myself.

“He put out a statement saying there should be an investigation and she retweeted it saying ‘SHOCKING’. And that was it. I felt she should’ve not allowed her husband to say such things about me and even if he had, she shouldn’t have endorsed and thirdly she should’ve picked up the phone and called me and said sorry for that entire situation. I’d like to say and I stand by it is that this is not a phase, a feeling that will change. No matter what, she’s out of my life,” he added.

In his book, Karan had said, “She can never come back to my life. I wouldn’t like to give her a piece of myself to her at all because she’s killed every bit of emotion I had for her for 25 years. I don’t think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her anymore.”

When Kajol was asked in July about working with Karan again she said, “Let me put it this way, I am not answering any questions on that particular point. If any of my other friends want to offer me a film I’ll definitely do it.”
