Karan Johar Gets Alia Bhatt opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Gauri Shinde's Next

After bagging lead roles opposite Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt has made her mark in the industry in very little time. Now, the Student of the Year actress has bagged lead role in English Vinglish fame Gauri Shide’s next film, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Perhaps, Alia will be SRK’s youngest leading lady.

A source told mid-day, “Gauri had approached Katrina, but things did not work out. Later, Karan Johar came on board as the producer and Alia was offered to play the leading lady in the untitled project. After Alia, Shah Rukh has agreed to do this film”.

“Shah Rukh liked the script and gave his nod to 'English Vinglish' director for the lead hero role. The film will go on floors next year”, added the source. Confirming the news, the Happy New Year star said, “It is an interesting and fresh combination to look forward to”.
