Karan Johar mocks Alia Bhatt’s poor IQ level

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's onscreen love story is finally heading towards a happy ending in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania after the sad part in Student of the Year. During the trailer launch of her forthcoming film Alia became a victim of Karan Johar’s mockery because of her poor standard of general knowledge.

The trailer launch started dramatically as Varun entered the stage in a doli as he was looking for his bride. Then Alia joins him with the traditional band, baaja and baraat enjoying the wedding tunes. The event was attended by director Shashank Khaitan and producer Karan Johar. Johar said the film pays tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge though he ensured it is not a copy of the epic romantic film. Karan said, "The film with its epic love story and innocence had set the barometer.” Alia has been a matter of joke on the social media for her poor general knowledge several times. Karan ended his message laughingly saying, "We have taught her everything before we came here.”
