Karan Johar Shares A Glimpse Of Sidharth And Sonakshi's Character In 'Ittefaq'!

Back in 1969, a film called Ittefaq had released that starred superstar Rajesh Khanna. And now once again, the film will be remade with Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. While it can be easily deduced that Sidharth will play Rajesh Khanna's role and Sonakshi Nanda's, we can only see Inspector, which will be played by Akshaye Khanna .

While the trailer of 'Ittefaq' looked gripping, Karan Johar , who is producing the film insists that the storyline this time would be very different. So guarded is he about the plot that he has decided that there would be no formal promotion for the film.

This has majorly left fans wondering what will the lead characters in the film play or what would be the name of the characters. Well, Karan has decided to unveil that himself and today introduced the two lead characters to the world.

Sidharth Malhotra will be playing Vikram Sethi (we wonder if the name has been inspired from Vikram Seth?), an acclaimed writer.

On a fateful night, he will take refuge in the house of Maya Sinha, who is described as a loving wife!

While the trailer made us believe that there are many similarities between the original and the remake, Karan Johar's guarded approach makes us wonder if there is more to the film. We hope that this will be a 'dhashu' remake!
