This Is What Karan Johar Has To Say About Actor Fawad Khan!

Bollywood was recently rocked by news of Pakistani actors being banned from the industry. Several Pakistani actors had to face criticism and disrespect from people within the industry, as well as outside it. One of these actors was Fawad Khan, who was part of Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ It was mostly because of his popularity that he became the butt of many hate speeches and ADHM received a lot of flak before its release because he was in it.

The World Economic Forum was recently held where Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid expressed her desire to see Fawad in a film directed by Karan Johar. To this, Karan replied,

“I'm trying to process how to answer that... You know what I went through. It was a tough time for me. I have a great regard for talent and I have a great regard for Fawad Khan's talent which is why he's been in two of our films”.

The ace filmmaker also added that he hoped Fawad finds “the best platform because he's a terrific actor”. While he was quite supportive towards the actor, Karan also said that he does not want to go through a similar situation that he faced during the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. He said,

“I felt weak, vulnerable, victimised, and as a filmmaker, I don't want to feel that. I just want to feel creatively liberated”.

Fawad currently has a couple of Pakistani projects lined up which include ‘Maula Jatt 2’ and ‘Albela Rahi’.
