Karan Johar wishes Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor were real-life couple

One of the most sought after filmmakers of Bollywood, Karan Johar, is presently feeling quite excited about his upcoming production venture, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein which released its first trailer yesterday. The eminent film personality expressed his wish that Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who look quite good onscreen together, should have tied the knot off-screen too.

In their real lives both the actors are married to their respective life-partners. While Kareena is married to Chote Nawab Saif Ali Khan, Imran is happily married to his long-time love Avantika. Karan said about the pairing of Imran and Kareena in the movie, “They both are so gorgeous. How can anyone not be appealed by them? It's just that they have different spouses. I wish Kareena and Imran were married to each other." He also shared a joke when asked if it’s possible anymore, "Even now it can happen. We can't say anything. Nothing is impossible."

Kareena reacted sportingly to Karan’s comment saying, "Phir Saif ka kya hoga? (Then what about Saif?)" Earlier the chemistry between Imran and Kareena in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu was well-accepted by the audience. Karan, Kareena and Imran attended the trailer launch of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein on Tuesday. The actress, who will be seen in cotton and bandhini clothes in the film, has credited fashion designer Manish Malhotrafor her unique look in the movie. She said, "Manish is like my brother. We have worked together in Jab We Met and 3 Idiots. I hope even with this film, the looks will be iconic. I have worn a lot of bandhini kurtas in the film.” Punit Malhotra-directed Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is slated to release on November 22.
