Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor and others feel ecstatic about upcoming IIFA Awards

The upcoming 15th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony is all set to take place in Florida, U.S. from April 23 to 26 and the entire Hindi film industry is overjoyed about the same. Actors like Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bipasha Basu and music director Pritam showed their support and excitement towards the much-awaited event at the US Consulate.

These Bollywood personalities were present at the event along with the US Consul General in Mumbai Peter Haas and they think this is a great opportunity to bring Bollywood and Hollywood closer which will take Indian cinema to an international stage. At the press conference Kareena stated, "The IIFA awards is a great platform for us to showcase our work to the world. We will bring the magic of Indian cinema to America. I have not been to Tampa Bay and I am looking forward to entertain my fans there.” Her actor-husband Saif added, "Cinema brings us together. It is a chance to give Indian and international audience opportunity to witness celebration of Indian cinema and culture.”

Anil said, "In my days as a teenager, I used to travel by bus and used to get fascinated seeing the US consulate in Breach Candy. I always wanted to go there and get a visa for the US. I got chance to go there while doing films and I am happy about it.” Madhuri, who has stayed in Florida for two years, said further, "I can assure you Tampa Bay is a gorgeous place. It has got a lot to offer. People there will welcome you with a lot of warmth. I am honoured to be associated with them.” Haas also showed his delight over the opportunity saying, "I am excited by IIFA`s decision to hold this year`s awards ceremony in Tampa, Florida. Bollywood fans across the US will be thrilled that India`s biggest film stars are coming. We look forward to other Indian companies choosing the US as their travel destination and stand ready to assist.” Star performers from the industry at the event include Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.
