Kareena Kapoor Khan likely to star opposite Farhan Akhtar in Sahir Ludhianvi’s biopic

It was reported that Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar will enact Urdu poet and Hindi lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi in his biopic and as the latest developments reveal, Kareena Kapoor Khan may pair up with him as Ludhianvi’s love-interest Amrita Pritam. Kareena said, "I have been offered the film and I am still in the process of reading it, I am going through it.”

Directed by Jasmeet Reen, the biopic will be produced by Ashi Dua. Earlier Kareena made an exit from one of Zoya Akhtar’s projects but she never damaged her professional relationship with Zoya and Farhan. Kareena said, "Its an actor's prerogative and choice to do a film or not. And I am friendly with Zoya and Farhan... They are wonderful, they keep offering me films. And it is an actor's choice which film to do and not.” It is being heard that Kareena will have to undergo a strict regime to build a tough body for Karan Johar's next production Shuddhi opposite Hrithik Roshan.

When Kareena was asked about her stand on any physically challenging movie, she said, "I don't like action films, they don't excite me much. So I don't know ... Not sure. I did it once in 'Tashan' and that is enough.” It was reported a few days ago that Priyadarshan is planning to make a movie on Kunjali Marakkar, a valiant warrior’s life. Rumours were doing rounds that Kareena will be starring opposite Mohanlal in the film. But Kareena brushed off all such reports, "I haven't got the offer. I don't think I will do a Malayalam (film). I get many offers from South but I get scared to work as I can't speak Tamil, Telugu.”
