New Delhi Contrary to media speculation, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar will not launch the first look of his most ambitious project Heroine with Kareena Kapoor at this years Cannes Film Festival. The 45-year-old director has tweeted that the cast and crew of the film will be busy shooting during that time when the festival will take place. "Media reporting that 1st look of Heroine is going to be launched in Cannes are baseless. Me, Kareena and the whole team are busy shooting Heroine through the whole month of April and May, so no question of visiting Cannes," Bhandarkar said. In Cannes 2011, Bhandarkar launched the film with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who had been signed to play the lead role but was eventually dropped due to her pregnancy. The 65th Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 16 to 27.
