Katrina Kaif Shares Throwback Pic To Celebrate Ek Tha Tiger

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger hit the screens on August 15, 2012. As the film completed five years of its release, Katrina recently shared a picture with the Sultan star on her Instagram account to mark the event.

She captioned the picture -- mashallah #tigerzindahai #5yearsofekthatiger.

Ek Tha Tiger went on to become a mega hit. Now, the awesome duo -- Katrina and Salman -- are back together for the film’s sequel called Tiger Zinda Hai. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the flick is slated to release on December 22, 2017.

Ek Tha Tiger, which traced the relationship between a RAW agent and an ISI agent, made Rs 198 crore at the domestic box office.

In an interview with HT, director Kabir Khan explained how the team once ran into trouble with Turkish snipers. “We were shooting in an area which was near the Syrian border (Syria-Iraq-Turkey border). There were Turkish snipers on nearby hills because there was some threat in that area. We were shooting with guns and firing and it led to a lot of confusion. As a result, all of us had to lie down for flat 10 minutes so that the snipers knew in which area we were shooting the film. It was important that they don’t mistake any of our crew for terrorists and shoot,” says Kabir.

Kabir added how Katrina shot many of the film’s action sequences herself. “Katrina was doing action of this scale for the first time and she actually performed a lot of stunts, which were pretty tough, herself. She underwent training which was very surprising because they were very difficult to execute.”
