New Delhi - Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh, approached tinsel town diva, Vidya Balan and Shah Rukh Khan to feature in a total sanitation campaign. "I have contacted both Shah Rukh and Vidya Balan. Their initial responses have been positive," he said. Even master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has confirmed his participation and eminent director Shyam Benegal might make a movie on it. "We have to bring visibility to the sanitation programme," Ramesh said. According to Census 2011 statistics on household amenities, it has been found that 49.8 per cent of Indian households defecate in open. Only 46.9 per cent of India's 24.66 crore households have proper sanitation amenities and 3.2 per cent people use public toilets.
