Krrish 3 joins 100 crore club

Rakesh Roshan'sthird instalment in the series of Krrish franchise Krrish 3, in spite of getting mixed critics response, has made it to the 100 crore club. The film bagged a total of Rs. 108.61 crore in just four days as confirmed by the filmmaker himself, “The total isRs.108.61 crore. On Monday we madeRs.35.91 crore, which is the highest one-day figure. We have released the film in 4450 screens and the media has figures of only 4000 screens.”

Trade experts Amod Mehra talked about the exceptional success of the venture, “Despite all the criticism and having a mediocre musical score, Krrish 3 has done phenomenally well. It’s heartening to see a superhero film did so well, considering the last one,RA.One, did so badly.” He adds that pre Diwali is the worst period of the year as many theatre owners keep their doors closed because of renovation and re-painting still it did well.

The film starring Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut in the lead was made with Rs. 1 billion budget. Krrish 3’s producerRakesh Roshanfetched Rs. 24 crores overseas. There was a vague clue of Krrish 4 by a source and now as the film has got good response, there are more possibilities of fourth flick into the making.
