Leads Take Vacation As Padmavati Shoot Is Still On Hold

The upcoming Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor project, ‘Padmavati’, has been the talk of the town for a while now. It has been on the news quite frequently because of its historical storyline and its ability to hurt religious sentiments. While the fire around the project has settled down, the shooting is yet to resume.

The lead actors have used this time to go on vacation with their families. Shahid is spending time with his wife Mira and daughter Misha. Ranveer is off to Switzerland enjoying his time while Deepika is visiting New York. She will return to India later this month.

‘Padmavati’ was under so much scrutiny because the members of Rajput Karni Sena had issues with intimate scenes between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji. The filmmakers put out an official statement saying that there are no such scenes in the film. According to Lokendra Singh Kalvi, the founder of Shree Rajput Karni Sena, the production house is supposed to give a written agreement that they will abide to the demands of the party.
