Mahesh Bhatt feels Student of the Year will prove to be a blockbuster

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is convinced his daughter Alia’s debut filmStudent of the Year(SOTY) will turn out to be a blockbuster. The director expressed his thoughts about the film on micro blogging site Twitter.

"Karan Johar's SOTY is a winner! Everything in the movie works. The three newcomers work like magic. It has lots of heart. It's a BLOCKBUSTER," Bhatt said Tuesday night. It’s not just Alia who is making her Bollywood debut with SOTY. David Dhawan's son Varun and model-turned-actor Sidharth Malhotra have also been launched as actors with the film. The film is scheduled to release on October 19.
