Malaika Doesn’t Want To Be Addressed As Khan

The reports of split between Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan didn’t only leave the film industry in a state of shock but also bewildered their fans. The 17-year-old happy relationship came to an end in March, when the couple issued a joint statement that confirmed their divorce. Recently, the 42-year-old model-celebrity asked the makers of her ongoing reality television series, India’s Got Talent, to use her maiden name only.

If reports are to be trusted, the Chaiyya Chaiyya actress has clearly told the production and on-air team that she has to be addressed only as Malaika Arora on the show. A source told an online portal, "Malaika lives with their son. All this while she was using Arbaaz's surname and had never objected to it. But recently at an event when the host was about to announce her entry on stage she apparently requested the organisers not to add Khan in her name. At the last moment, the changes were made and the announcement was made as per Malaika's wish”.

Post separation, Arbaaz posted an emotional message on his social media account and wrote, “Someday you’ll look back and understand why it all happened the way it did. Waiting for that day”. The Dabangg 2 director also talked about the fear of losing his lady love earlier on a television show.
