Mallika Sherawat sheds past image, chooses less revealing outfit for Cannes

Mumbai -- In a big disappointment to fashion critics, Bollywood hotty Mallika Sherawat, known for appearing in overtly sexy and revealing outfits at the Cannes Film Festival, has this year chosen a very decent gown to walk the red carpet. Though, it was a nude backless dress which was held together by a thin waist belt, yet it was nothing in comparison with the hotly discussed bold dresses the Murder girl wore during her past appearances at the Cannes. The last time Mallika even draped a snake around her neck to promote her film Hiss at the festival. Explaining why she is a regular at the Cannes, Mallika said, I love the fact that it is a meeting point of various cultures. There is an Indian pavilion right next to it there is an American pavilion and then there is a Qatar pavilion. Where else in the world do you see this? This time, the actress walked the red carpet for the premiere of Madagascar 3. Defining her gown, the actress said, I am wearing a couture outfit that was literally stitched on my body, in the room, a few minutes back. It is designed by Ali Mahdavi, a great fashion icon in France. The sex siren enhanced her look with a bouffant hairdo and a pair of diamond earrings.
