Mammootty reveals Arya's beefy avatar from The Grand Father

Superstar Mammootty unveiled the first look motion poster of actor Arya from his forthcoming Malayalam film, The Grand Father. A beefy Arya is hard to recognise, much different from his largely romantic and comic hero image in Tamil films.

Much of the motion poster sets up the introduction of the antagonist Andrews Eapen – played by Arya. We see a table with a file, ink, image of a man in question, till we are introduced to Arya’s character. While the first few frames of the actor show him fully-clothed, it’s just the sinewy, bulked up back of the actor that we see towards the end.

The Grand Father, directed by Haneef Adeni, stars Mammootty in the lead with Arya as the villain. Jointly produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arya, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Nadesan, the film also stars Sneha and Shaam in supporting roles.

Though it was earlier scheduled for a Christmas 2016 release, the film will now hit the screens in March 2017.
