‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ Makers Rubbish Rumours About Its Delay

Recently, rumours went afloat that the makers of Kangana Ranaut ’s upcoming film ‘ Manikarnika : The Queen of Jhansi’ have pushed the film’s release date to August. There were reports that since the film is based on Rani Laxmibai, therefore the makers wanted to release in the month of Independence. However, now the makers have denied the news stating the release date has not been announced yet.

They released a statement on Thursday refuting all the reports of the film being pushed to August. The statement read: "This is with regard to rumours doing the rounds that 'Manikarnika : The Queen of Jhansi' will now be releasing on August 3rd. The producers of the film, Kamal Jain and Zee Studios haven't officially announced the release date yet."

Manikarnika : The Queen of Jhansi' was recently in the news after Brahmin outfit Sarva Brahman Mahasabha made allegations against it that it distorts historical facts. The outfit also asked the makers to share each and every detail about the film’s story with them to check that it does not distorts any historical facts.  The film has Kangana playing Rani Laxmibai. It marks the Bollywood debut of TV actress Ankita Lokhande .
