Summer santa is on a gift-showering spree for the Ship of Theseus assistant director, Maxima Basu, as she has bagged the position of Amir Khan’s stylist in his upcoming project Dangal. Notably, Maxima has assisted Danny Boyle in Slumdog Millionaire. Basu had previously donned the hat of costume designer for Peepli (Live) and Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela.

Reportedly, Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma were the first choice of director Nitesh Tiwari to design the costumes for Dangal. A source stated, "The duo had started work on the film but Aamir who is also the film's co producer was not happy with the remuneration they quoted which didn't fit the financial framework of the project”. The duo was the costume designers for PK and Queen.

This film is being produced by Amir Khan who will be seen playing the role of a retired wrestler. His character will have an emotional angle too as Mr. Perfectionist will be seen coaching his two daughters to lead them to the path of glory. The source added, “Maxima who had worked extensively on Peepli (Live), which was also an Aamir Khan production, and Ship of Theseus presented by wife Kiran Rao has now been roped in. And Dangal which is in pre-production, is sailing smoothly”.
