Megastar Amitabh Bachchan receives Star of the Millennium award, feels ‘embarrassed’ on audience’s standing ovation

The Hindi film industry’s pride, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has reportedly received the honour of Star of the Millennium at the Big Star Entertainment Awards 2013. After the whole audience stood up in reverence of the veteran film personality, Big B said that he was feeling “embarrassed.”

He was awarded with the special honour for his movie Satyagraha at the event which was organised at the Andheri Sports Complex on Wednesday. Amitabh posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com, "The audience stands for me...So embarrassing to be in front of them. I quickly gesticulate to them to be seated...some did, others did not...still embarrassing.” Stars like Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sunny Leone, Elli Aavram, Nakuul Mehta and Mukti Mohan offered some spectacular stage performances entertaining the audience. Sunil Grover and actor Shreyas Talpade were the hosts at the fourth edition of Big Star Entertainment Awards. The event was attended by several others like Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Rakesh Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Rohit Shetty and Tigmanshu Dhulia. The event will be broadcast on December 31 on Star Plus.
