The aftermath of Uri attack has led to a hassle in the Indian film industry. Following Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s (MNS) demand of barring Pakistani actor, the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) called a ban on them. However, this resolution has been deemed irrelevant by various Indian celebs.

Salman Khan recently voiced his opinion saying, “They are artistes not terrorists. It’s the government who gives them permits and visas.” MNS Chief Raj Thackeray did not agree to this. He was addressing a press conference at his Shivaji Park residence yesterday, October 1, where he said, "Actually, these cinema people will learn a lesson only if people stop watching their films...Their affection for Pakistan stems from their business interests. For them Pakistan is a lucrative (film) territory.”

Targeting Salman, Thackeray said, “If Salman Khan loves Pakistan so much then he should go and shoot there. He should seek a work permit from Pak authorities." Moreover, Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP, asked Salman’s father Salim Khan to keep his son under house arrest. He further added that the Bollywood star blabbers because no one in his family has ever died for the country.

There seems to a war of ideologies in India after the Uri attack that took place on September 18, 2016.
