Mr Bachchan’s family throws grand party on his 70th birthday

Just like his megastar image in the film industry, Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday party was also a mega event that was attended by as many as 800 guests that included big Bollywood superstars and politicians. Some of the major names at the party held at the Reliance Media Work, Film City, Goregaon, yesterday night were yesteryear actor Dilip Kumar, noted filmmaker Yash Chopra, superstar Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri, Rajinikanth, Hema Malini, Saira Banu, Waheeda Rehman, Vinod Khanna, Prem Chopra, Kader Khan, Pran, Zeenat Aman, Jeetendra, Asha Parekh Neetu and Rishi Kapoor and Union leader Praful Patel etc.

The real treat at the grand party was that perfect hosts and proud parents Aishwaraya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan didn’t try to hide Aaradhya's face from the world. Aishwarya and Jaya Bachchan were seen holding the Beti B during the event. Birthday boy Big B, who turned 70 today, looked stunning in his black velvet outfit when he walked the red carpet with his entire family -- wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek, daughter Shweta, and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai – posed a perfect picture of a happy joint family. The megastar told media on the occasion, "Thanks for coming", while Aishwarya, who wore a cream long dress with golden work, told reporters, "We are so happy that we are all here today celebrating his birthday. Thank you so much." From the present Bollywood brigade, stars like Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Anurag Kashyap, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, John Abraham, Tabu, Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn-Kajol, Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Gowariker, Juhi Chawla and Preity Zinta also came to wish him.
