With the success of his first production venture, Vicky Donor, it has now raised the bar of expectations from him to produce good films. And the 40-year-old seems quite keen to continue the streak. “We are just one film old and there is a lot of pressure, especially after winning the National Award. Professionally it was the highest point in my career and I am very happy that as a producer I am able to make my kind of cinema,” said John Abraham.

Recently, Shootout at Wadala has changed the perceptions of many about his acting skills. John’s performance as a gangster Manya Surve has bowled many hearts. Being a producer too, the actor is now focusing to come up with some good work from his banner. Shoojit Sircar directed, Madras Cafe is going to be the second release under John’s production house. Jaffna, Kalaghoda and Hamara Bajaj are some of the other future projects that are going to be produced under his home banner.

So contentious people who in the past have probably looked down and said John Abraham is a model will now probably will re-think on the entire issue and Shootout at Wadala in a way is my answer back to people saying listen I have done this now please let’s move on.”
