My Role In Aligarh Made Me A Better Person: Manoj Bajpai

Manoj Bajpai has revealed that his role in Hansal Mehta directorial Aligarh has made the Bollywood actor a better person. The Gangs of Wasseypur star is reportedly essaying the role of a homosexual professor in the film. Aligarh has been well-applauded and has also received standing ovation at the 20th Busan International Film Festival and London Film Festival.

“My role in Aligarh is so gentle and pure hearted that it has made me a better person. I have not seen a noble human like him (character in Aligarh). It is a great story to tell. You will be moved by the character”, the Aarakshan actor told IANS.

The Raajneeti star will be seen playing the role, which is inspired from Aligarh Muslim University’s professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was sacked for being homosexual. “It is always tough to get into somebody else’s skin and to understand somebody else’s soul or his journey when you are doing serious acting. So nothing gives you immense pleasure when you resemble the role you are playing”, added the Special 26 actor.
