My Role In Padmavati Is The Toughest I Played Till Date: Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh is always the same, be it on screen or off screen. He has earlier brought life to each and every character that he played. The actor is yet again ready to play a larger than life character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ upcoming magnum opus, Padmavati.

Talking about his character, the Dil Dhadakne Do actor said, "It's completely out of my comfort zone. It's a negative character. And to make such maverick decisions at this stage (of my career) is a huge risk. But I have to keep my creativity alive. I have always maintained that something is worth doing only if it thoroughly scares you (laughs)".

For the uninitiated, Ranveer will portray the character of Alauddin Khilji, Deepika Padukone is playing the titular character Queen Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor will be seen as Padmavati’s husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. With such a brilliant cast, we can’t wait much to see the film. The flick is slated for a next year release in November.
