Namastey England Not a Sequel to Namastey London, Says Vipul Shah

Putting aside all the speculations, director Vipul Amrutlal Shah has clarified that his upcoming project Namastey England isn’t a sequel to 2007 blockbuster Namastey London. He also revealed that the producers of the film are currently in negotiations with Akshay Kumar to play the lead role in this film. The film is slated to release next year.

Vipul Shah told Indian Express, “I am very excited to direct this film and with the prospect of working with Akshay once again. We have had the best run in the past and I hope to continue that with this one”. The film will be produced by Kriarj Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Essel Vision Productions.

The director also said, “I have been reading reports about this being a sequel to Namastey London… I would like to make it absolutely clear that Namastey England is not a sequel of Namastey London. In fact this has nothing to do with Namastey London. I hope this puts all the speculations to rest. My producers have shown faith in my vision and I want to do justice to their faith”.
