No ban on PK, no scenes would be deleted either, says Censor Board

While the outrage and indignation against PK has been growing significantly by the right wing outfits, the censor board amid all this has stated that no ban would be imposed on the film and none of the scenes would be deleted either.

The Aamir Khan starrer that has commercially been churning huge numbers has been faced some harsh protest by the Hindu outfits who apparently demand some scenes to be cut from the movie. The satire comedy has been dealt with some sensitive issues and the groups claim the film is hurting the religious sentiments of the religion. Not only is PK disrespectful to Hindu gods, the communal tone has been specifically targeted to the religion, the outfits convey. However, nothing serious seems to be taking place in order since the CBFC has come out in defence itself.

“Every film may hurt religious sentiments of somebody or the other. We can’t remove scenes unnecessarily because there is something called creative endeavour where people present things in their own way. We have already given certificate to ‘PK’ and we can’t remove anything now because it’s already out for public viewing,” said Leela Samson, the chairperson of CBFC. Directed by Raju Hirani, PK has been largely impressive as far as the word of mouth goes. The film even made its entry through the coveted 200 crore club.
