No more Irrfan Khan in Hera Pheri 3, Kay Kay Menon replaces him

Hera Pheri 3 has suffered a setback very early into its schedule. Apparently, film’s leading villain Irrfan Khan who was set to play the role of a don has opted out of the movie quoting dates issue. The makers have now roped in actor Kay Kay Menon to replace him.

While the replacement seems as worthy as Irrfan, it will be interesting to see if Irrfan has missed out on something major. Film’s director Neeraj Vohra told a leading Mumbai daily, “"We tried to get Irrfan on board, but his dates didn't match with our plans of releasing the film in mid-December. It was tough on our part to find a replacement for him, and then I saw Kay Kay in 'Baby'. I loved his performance and decided to cast him. Since I am both writing and directing the movie, it becomes easier to improvise the roles. Only Kay Kay could only fit into that kind of role. His character has a good mix of comedy and seriousness that will surprise everyone.”

The third part of this very special comedy series stars John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Paresh Rawal Sunil Shetty in the lead roles. Currently under production, the film is expected to be ready by the end of this year.
