No one has approached me for ‘Fan’ yet, says Ileana

The suspense over Ileana’s inclusion in Shahrukh’s next ‘Fan’ is not looking at a landing point. While the film went on floors weeks ago, the leading female character of the movie is still undecided. Ileana D’Cruz who was being talked about to play the lead role has again made it clear, that she hasn’t been approached for the role in any way.

Ileana for some reasons is being taken as the lead opposite Shahrukh in Yashraj’s Fan. Though the actress has maintained the fact that she is not a part of the film yet. “No. I don’t even know where this is coming from. I haven’t been approached for Fan. No one has approached me. Not directly atleast. If they are approaching someone else who they think works with me, they are mistaken,” she said. The Barfi star also added that ‘even approached’, she would consider only if her character is significant enough. “If approached at all, I will decide on the film’s story and my role. I want to work with all big superstars but I don’t want to do a film in which my character is insignificant. I was approached for a film much before this with Saif. But I did not like the story. This time I am liking everything, from my role to the trailer to the look of it. I am happy I have made this decision. Many had told me then, why did you refuse a film with Saif. I was clear. It did not feel right,” said D’Cruz.

Ileana’s next film with Saif is up for release this Friday. Happy Ending that also stars Govinda and Kalki is romedy directed by Raj and DK. Ileana who has so far been impressive with her in films like Barfi, Main Tera Hero and Phata Poster Nikla Hero has much of a credited role in this one.
