    No plans for the sequel of Shanghai confirms director Dibakar Banerjee

    Dibakar Banerjee, thedirector of his last year’s release Shanghai, has come clear on the sequel of the film saying that he has no plans to do so for a long time. The 43-year-old denies all the rumours about the sequel and comments, "Right now I am just writing for my next film and I don't think I have announced the sequel so far and the plans are not to do so for a long time."

    The film which bagged positive reviews from the film critics was a political thriller. Shanghai had stars like Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin and Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead. The film unfolded the level of corruption in the political structure.

    The director, who is best known for the films like Khosla Ka Ghosla, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, paid his tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema by making Bombay Talkies. One story out of four was directed byDibakar. The filmmaker has not revealed his upcoming projects yet on which he is working but we hope that the films be like he made in the past.
