Here's Why There Will Be No Sequel Of Ranbir And Katrina's Jagga Jasoos!

Much before Jagga Jasoos was released, there were reports that the team is planning to make it sequel. The makers announced of the sequel as they believed that the film will become a super hit like Baahubali. In fact, director Anurag Basu has even left the ending incomplete to make a way for Jagga Jasoos 2.

However, while the producers have said that the film is ‘growing’, the distributors and exhibitors are moaning of another loser, after Tubelight, at the box office. Therefore the idea of its sequel has been dropped. In fact, the makers canned the idea of making Jagga Jasoos 2 even before the flick was released.

“Anurag Basu had written the film as an ongoing series – the adventures of Jagga Jasoos – just like Satyajit Ray filmed the adventures of Feluda. But the audiences’ response is not encouraging enough. So, the sequel won’t happen,” says a source. Well, if the makers decided to drop the idea of the sequel before the film’s release, it means that they has notion that the film might not do well.
