Om Puri recovering well from typhoid, discharged from hospital

Noted Bollywood actor Om Puri, who was admitted to a local hospital in Barabanki,Uttar Pradesh,three days ago due to severe typhoid, has reportedly been discharged and is doing fine. Talking to reporters, the veteran actor said that he was fine and back on his feet.

Puri has been in Barabanki for the past fortnight for the shooting of a film. "A few days ago, on September 20, I woke up shivering from my afternoon siesta. It scared the hell out of me. I immediately called my assistant, who rang up my producer. Since I know many people in Barabanki, a doctor arrived in no time. After tests, I was found to have typhoid, and admitted in a local hospital for three days”. He added, “And now I've been discharged and advised to take it easy. I plan to resume shooting from Monday. I didn't inform my family members as I didn't want to frighten them. I just want to eat right and stay fit now."
