Online leak of Manjhi: The Mountain Man Affects Box Office Collection

Despite the positive reviews, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Manjhi: The Mountain Man didn’t sprout well at the box office. The online leak of the Ketan Mehta directorial seemed to have affected its business quite seriously. The flick, which also starred Radhika Apte, minted Rs. 1.40 crores on Friday, Rs. 2.35 crores on Saturday and Rs. 2.70 crores on Sunday, which makes a total collection of Rs. 6.45 crores over the weekend.

Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers, which became the second highest week 1 earner, hasn’t performed well in the second week. The film minted Rs. 1.40 crores on Friday, Rs. 2 crores on Saturday and Rs. 78.70 crores on Sunday, which makes the total collection of the film to be Rs. 78.70 crores. Perhaps, Nawazuddin starrer film and All is Well, which has released this week, has eaten the profit of Brothers.

Contrary to the film based on the life of poor farmer Dashrath Manjhi, Abhishek Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer All is Well, did quite a fair business. The flick earned Rs. 11.91 crores over the weekend. The film’s collection on Friday, Saturday and Sunday was Rs. 2.90 crores, Rs. 3.98 crores and Rs. 11.91 crores.
