    This is for the first time that IIFA is in the news not for its awards but for its antics. One of the controversies that IIFA fall prey to was nepotism and it still continues to grab attention. Now, latest in the front is that Pahlaj Nihalani has slapped a defamation case on the organizers of the award show.

    Yes, you heard that right! Central Board of film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani has sent a five-page legal notice to IIFA and its organizers, Wizcraft International, for the defamatory remarks against him passed by hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Manish Paul. Nihalani sought for a public apology.

    As per Sabbas Joseph, director of Wizcraft International, “There is no statement or event in the show that warrants any notice. Pahlajji will get a better understanding of the show once he sees it. We have always respected Pahlajji, who has originally been on the IIFA advisory board, and has always been [of tremendous] help. I am sure it is a misunderstanding that will be corrected once Pahlajji sees the show on television again”.

    With a fresh controversy with Pahlaj Nihalani slapping defamation case on the organizers of the award show, seems like, IIFA controversies has no end.
