Actor Pamela Anderson, adding fuel to the fire, said that dating WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange “would be a little bit difficult” considering he is currently imprisoned, but would be open to exploring options “when he’s free.”

According to Reuters, the Baywatch star said in an interview on a Swedish TV show, “I spend probably more time with him than any other man socially, which is very odd.”

Speculations about a romance between the two emerged when she started visiting Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he lives under asylum. Calling him “one of my favourite people,” Anderson wrote in great length about him on her blog.

“I am getting more involved with The Courage foundation who helps to defend whistleblowers …like Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange,” she wrote on Thursday. “My relationship with Julian – It’s no secret, He is one of my favourite people- and he might be the most famous, most politicized refugee of our time. Famous for being persecuted. Famous for being persecuted is not a position of power but a position of vulnerability. I am concerned.”
