Paresh Rawal Or Victor Bannerjee As Narendra Modi In His Biopic?

Two years back, rumours were abuzz that a biopic on Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in being planned and Paresh Rawal will be seen essaying the titular role in the flick. Soon, Victor Bannerjee’s name also cropped up for the lead role and thereafter grapevine started buzzing that Bannerjee has replaced the Gujrati Bollywood actor. However, unless an official announcement is made, it remains uncertain if any NaMo flick will hit the theatre and who will essay the lead role.

Paresh Rawal, confirming the news to a leading daily in 2014, said, “Yes! I am playing Modiji. The script is being worked on. It was written and then re-written. Until I feel the script does justice to his life and politics I won't venture into it”.

Also, the rumours went rife that Victor Bannerjee will also star as Modi in his biographical flick. Bannerjee was quoted as saying, “It would certainly be interesting to play Narendra Modi after playing ParamhansaYogananda and Dorabji Tata. To play so many distinguished characters is quite a great life for any actor”.
