Parineeti Chopra Might Star Opposite Fawad Khan In Gustaakhiyaan

After bagging the National Award for his last Bollywood release Bajirao Mastani, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has set his eyes on a hard-hitting biopic, titled Gustaakhiyaan, based on noted poet Sahir Ludhianvi. Apparently, the makers were keen on casting Priyanka Chopra as Amrita Pritam, while Irrfan was touted to play Sahir. However, due to unavailability of the actress' dates, the latest development is that Parineeti Chopra and Fawad Khan have supposedly been approached to play the lead roles.

Initially, filmmakers decided to rope in Irrfan Khan to play the lead. However, according to filmfare, it seems that the makers are now thinking that Fawad can be a better actor to portray the character, which ages from 20s to 50s.  The recce for the film is currently underway and will mostly be shot up in North.

Fawad Khan, whose last appearance in Kapoor and Sons was appreciated quite a lot. The 34-year-old will next be seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as well as in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story with Sushant Singh Rajput. On the other hand, Parineeti will be seen opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Yash Raj Film's romantic drama Meri Pyari Bindu

It would be interesting to watch the two actors romancing on-screen.
