Unless one reaches Salman Khan’s stature, a good banner will always matter: Tiger Shroff!

Tiger Shroff has worked mostly in action films such as Heropanti (2014) and Baaghi (2016), but he will now be seen working in a completely different genre in one of his upcoming movies, Student of the Year 2. Speaking about his priorities when signing a film, the actor says that the script matters the most.

However, Tiger says he also considers the production value of the film and the banner, as they make a big difference. “If you look at the bigger picture, [a good banner] can help you reach more theatres. Unless one reaches Salman Khan’s stature, it [the banner] will always matter, because his stardom can bring in the numbers all by itself. As a newcomer, I have to look for someone who can help take me to that level. It has to be a strong package,” he says.

Tiger, however, admits that star kids still enjoy some privilege in terms of the opportunities they receive. “It is the legacy that is important, and we are fortunate. But, on the other hand, we have double the pressure on us. People think we get everything on a silver spoon, but it is really not like that. It’s easier to get recognition, sure. I am grateful that I am my father’s son.”
