Pooja Batra Talks About Being Typecast

Pooja Batra was a famous name and gained her share of recognition with some of the hit flicks in the ‘90s. The actress then moved to the United States after marrying an orthopaedic surgeon. However, they got divorced after 8 years of marriage. The actress is now back in the showbiz with her flick, Mirror Game.

The film, which released today, is getting decent reviews from the critics. Talking about her filmy career, the actress said, “I was typecast when I was in India — it was always foreign returned, it was always the modern version. As an actress, we are supposed to morph into another character and that’s the fun. If you continuously do the same thing then it’s very redundant. I had consciously made an effort to choose those roles that were opposite from my previous one”.

Pooja is all prepped up to entertain the audience with her just released flick, Mirror Game: Ab Khel Shuru, helmed by Vijit Sharma. Touted as a thriller movie, the Virasat actress said that she loves thrillers. Pooja says, “I love thrillers, it’s part of the emotion that triggers excitement and plays with the mind on the need to know what will happen next”.
